TV recaps, Entertainment, & Pop Culture
The episode starts and I literally want to cringe. I don't know why but this episode starts off awkwardly, and I just want to scream at my television. Girls, you don't even know Arie! Arie, you are SO BORING!
It just feels very dramatic for no reason at all. Like this is a joke.
This week, there is no rose ceremony; just three 1-on-1 dates and one group date. Becca is going on the first one on one, and Arie saying "Ciao Bella" to her as she runs toward him is awkward AF!
This is the last trip before the hometowns, so there's a lot of ladies going home this episode. There is a lot on the line.
In full disclosure, I read Reality Steve so I know what happens at the end of this, which makes the season more exciting, but also like 'You're all idiots'.
Jacqueline is not hysterical crying to Kendall (who has grown on me despite being a taxidermist) that she is having a lot of doubts and she can't imagine Arie meeting her family. That seems like a HUGE RED FLAG and I guarantee she goes home tonight, and is the one doing the breaking up.
Becca K gets a rose and they look so happy! I kind of like them together; she seems very genuine and he likes her, but there's something off about her that I cannot put my finger on. Despite that, I'm into it. Arie is falling for her, she is falling for Arie and they're making out against a wall in Tuscany. This is v sweet and I have a flutter in my heart.
The second 1-on-1 goes to Lauren B. Let's hope this one is a little more exciting than last week's date between the two of them.
Lauren’s date is next and Arie is impressing her by standing up on his bicycle which is very impressive and very scary.
He tells the audience that yes, he knows Lauren is shy and quiet, but he is really hoping she can open up to him soon because he doesn’t know if he could give her the rose.
Arie, give the girl a break! She isn’t that trusting, she broke off an engagement and is scared to bring home someone new.
The girls are discussing Arie and their feelings when there’s a knock on the door, and a date card is there. Sienne is the 3rd and final 1-on-1 so that leaves us with Kendall, Tia, and Bekah M on a group date.
I’m very interested in who is going to have hometown dates; my picks are Becca K, Lauren B, Tia, and Sienne. We’ll see how I rank at the end of this episode.
Arie explains that he understands that Lauren is observant and wants to take things slow but he’s hoping for the best; she explains that it’s hard for her to trust, and that she really does have feelings for him and that she’s falling in love with Arie.
At first, it seems that Arie doesn’t know what to do with this information and he literally gets up to walk up.. way to make her feel safe!! WTF is he doing! I am so heartbroken for Lauren right now.
He finally comes back and says that he’s just so nervous and he doesn’t know how to react because he wants this so badly. Then he hands her the rose and I think I like Lauren B better than Becca K.
They seem so happy together! I am officially Team Lauren!
I’m starting to get bored; it’s Sienne’s date now and there’s a lot of Italian talk going on and I can’t follow what’s happening. They’re eating homemade pasta with a random Italian family and now I’m hungry.
Sienne and Arie are talking about their futures and if they think it’s a good time for Arie to meet her family. I don’t think Arie is convinced.
I was wrong! Sienne doesn’t get a rose! Arie doesn’t think they’re at the right place and sends her home and she accepts in a classy way.
That means that there is an extra rose on the group date, and Bekah M is very excited about it.
We’re on the group date, and we see Bekah & Tia talking and Bekah says she misses being home and as much as she likes Arie, she’s homesick. I mean, yeah, it’s like when she was away at camp last year and she was homesick! But this time, she’s competing for a guy’s love.
I can’t with her.
Tia has her alone time now and she’s choosing to discuss Bekah M and says it has nothing to do with age (it does) and she doesn’t think Bekah is ready for anything serious.
Tia and Arie end with a kiss and it seems that all is well. She admits that she told Arie about Bekah’s hesitation and she immediately bursts into tears. If you’re this sensitive about age, don’t try to date an almost 40 year old.
Arie looks like her father when he comforts her. and it made me very uncomfortable.
They talk through it and Arie asks her the hard questions, like will her family care about the age difference and such. Then Bekhah says something stupid like “I can’t believe there are only 2 roses and if you don’t get one, you’re going home.” Thank you captain obvious.
Oh WOW, Kendall gets a rose! That is a twist I didn’t see coming. Tia has to get the next rose, send the child home Arie!
Tia probably wishes she didn’t bring up Bekah’s shit to Arie now that it’s down to the two of them.
They’re on a 2-on-1 now, and Tia is opening up and saying how much she’s falling for Arie and he tells her that he can see himself with her family (how? You don’t know them?? Why does he keep saying that??)
At this point, I want to throw up at the sight of Bekah M. She is too Tinkerbell for me, she looks at Arie with those dreamy “I have daddy issue” eyes and I am OVER HER. She is CANCELLED.
She wishes he would have more faith in her and how she feels and I literally feel like I might vomit. I can’t even look at the TV when they make out.
YES TIA GETS THE ROSE! BYE BYE TINKERBELL. I AM SO RELIEVED.
He doesn’t even give her an explanation, just says he’s sorry and sends her on her merry way.
However, she does breakdown in the van and I can’t find an compassion in my heart for her.
Hometowns next week should be interesting…
