I missed last week’s General Hospital recap but I don’t think there was much to say, expect for the 55th Anniversary episode which I just watched this morning.
*I did a mini post about that before so check it out here. This week was a little weird on GH and didn’t really pick up until Thursday and Friday. I can say that because I watched the full week today, Friday. First up, some mini plot lines that I’m not really following: Sam tells Drew that she’s taking the kids on a vacation and he says that when she gets back, they have to divvy everything up. Spinelli is leaving for Europe to go search for Henrik… Alexis and Finn are still trying to figure out their fake relationship, and I’m not too sure but Anna fits into this somehow too. Chase and Maxie meet, and I definitely saw a spark between them — Ms. Jones does have a things for detectives so I wouldn’t be surprised if something happens there. Maxie met Chase because she was at the police station for a ceremony where Nathan was being awarded a medal of honor. Carly is still struggling with the fact that she saw Morgan’s scarf, and then it disappeared. She confesses to Bobby who mentions that the same thing used to happen with her after BJ died *lots of BJ mentions lately*. Julian goes over to Kim’s house with flowers to thank her for the sex they had last week. Kiki approaches Dr Bensch in Kelly’s and tells him off for kissing her (yes, that was horrible from last week) and that she’s refusing the shadow program at GH. He tells her that he assumed that Kiki wanted something more from him but he must’ve read her signals wrong. Fuck Dr. Bensch — what a CREEP. He keeps going and says that he was given mixed messages but Kiki says that she continually told him to stop touching her. Kiki says she’s going to the board tomorrow and telling them to choose someone else for the Shadow program. Bensch says that he does believe in her as a doctor and that he gave her compliments because she deserved it, it had nothing to do with his pass at her. He begs her to reconsider, and says that he’s embarrassed and knows he’s a jerk. He says once again that he misread things and that all he wants is a productive work relationship. She heads back to the hospital and one of the nurses congratulate her on the program, and then we flashback to Bensch listening to the voicemail that Kiki left him to have her meet him at Kelly’s. He slyly smiles to himself and I’m so grossed out and confused. Oliver is talking to Kim about her feelings for Drew but she makes sure he understands that her feelings are for past Drew, not this one because he doesn’t remember her. Now for the big stories: Mike is feeling better but then suddenly he freaks out when he remembers that his parents are waiting for him and he needs to catch the bus. Sonny yells and says that his parents are dead and Mike nearly breaks down before Michael steps in. Michael is able to calm him down and Sonny thanks him. There’s a condition that happens to Alzheimer’s patients that causes them to freak out a little when the sun goes down. It’s also not uncommon for them to think their parents are still alive. Mike then mentions something about a field in Croton and Sonny seems suspicious, like Sonny knows exactly what he’s talking about but he tells Michael he’s clueless. Mike, Sonny, and Michael — the actors who play them— are KILLING this storyline. It’s truly heartbreaking and feels so real. Franco is being hypnotized by Kevin Collins (I love Kevin, he’s an underrated character and I’m glad he’s getting more airtime). It takes a few times but Franco starts to remember that Harvey used to hurt him. This revelation was shocking and heart breaking; Roger is a GREAT actor. He reveals that when Betsy was out of town, Harvey used to bring Franco toys. Andy was jealous and he wanted a toy but Franco always said no, he could have his. Then Harvey brought him a toy and Franco freaks out. This is so weird. Franco believes that he’s looking and talking to Harvey when really it’s Kevin. He can’t come out of his hypnosis and wow, this is insane. Franco falls to the floor and starts having what seems to be a panic attack before Kevin tries to coax him out of the episode. Finally, Franco is out of it and all is well. Elizabeth and Jake stop by the room and talk a bunch about how they miss each other and before Franco says goodbye, he says that Liz and the boys are his family and that he never thought he’d have a family. It’s in times like those that I feel bad for Franco. Betsy Frank is now in the hospital and wakes up from her sedation when Drew comes to see her and reveals himself to be little Andy. In the same breath, Harvey dresses up like a doctor and I’m sure is up to no good. YUP, he heads to Betsy’s room and stands outside as she talks to Drew. When she gets a glimpse of him, she screams. He runs away before anyone can see him — her heart rate sky rockets and Drew tries to calm her down. Kevin comes in to give her another sedative and try stop figure out what happened that caused her to have the outburst. Afterwards, Harvey runs out to the parking garage and that’s when he hears Liz and Jake going back to their car. I saw a spoiler earlier today so I already know what’s going to happen and I’m PISSED. Betsy wakes up again and says that she needs to see Franco to tell him about Jim Harvey. Please, just tell me what’s going on. Harvey puts a gun to Liz’s back and says to cooperate and he won’t hurt her or Jake. WTF. This man is horrible. Now we’re at Friday’s episode and I’m watching this in real time so here’s a rundown. Nelle is breaking into Carly’s old house, which she will be at later to check out after the earthquake. She’s going to start haunting the place and I’ve never wanted someone to be murdered on GH so badly. Liz begs Harvey to let Jake go but he demands that she drive them out of the garage. Jake starts talking about how he was always told to not get in the car with strangers and Harvey tells Liz to keep the kid quiet. She bends down, tells him she loves him and tells him to run. As Jake runs away, Harvey points the gun at Liz and before we know it, Jake is yelling at Harvey… what a DUMB kid. Liz grabs at Harvey’s eye and then he pushes her to ground, and just as Harvey is opening the door to Liz’s car, Franco walks in. YAS BITCH SAVE THE DAY. Psycho Jim Harvey repeats the words he did the night on the stairs when Franco was a boy, “Look what you did, Bobby. This is all your fault.” As Harvey goes to touch Jake’s shoulder, Franco launches himself at him and the gun flies out of his hand, and Liz and Jake run away. Carly and Jason are talking about Sam again and Jason admits that he doesn’t want her to be with Drew, no matter what, because she isn’t herself with him. If she comes back to him, that’ll be the happiest day of his life. JaSam reunion, please and thank you! Carly runs off to meet the inspector at her old house while Nelle is creeping around. Nelle has a remote control that is going to turn the lights on and off. Nelle is psychotic. Carly arrives home and the lights start flickering while Nelle is hiding out on the stairs, dressed like the boogie man. The inspectors are going to be a little longer so Carly makes herself comfortable as the lights flicker again and she hears movement upstairs. HOLY SHIT. Nelle is IN MORGAN’S ROOM moving shit around. That’s sick. Carly is scared and walking around with a flashlight when she goes into Morgan’s room. She looks around and grabs his baseball glove, crying. Then the closet door creaks, she grabs the bat and opens the door. One single baseball shirt is moving and Carly realizes that someone is really messing with her. Carly gets a text from Bobby and is about to leave when she hears more noise, grabs the bat and heads upstairs. The lights then turn on and she’s officially confused AF. As Carly is upstairs, Nelle sneaks out of the house… Then Carly sees a broken picture frame of Morgan peeking out from under his bed. Sonny and Jason are talking about the mission to find Henrik and Jason is super suspicious about Anna, but Sonny doesn’t seem concerned. The conversation moves to Mike and Sonny reveals that Mike was never at the field in Croton so there is no way that he could know what happened. That’s weird… Sonny tells Jason the story — it was happening when he was coming up into the organization and he had an order to drive a dead body into Croton and bury it. Sonny swears that Mike wasn’t there but how would he know about the field? No one ever knew. Also, we’ve never heard Sonny go into such graphic detail about mob business and I’m a little shocked. Sonny cannot figure out how Mike knew, and he remembers that when Mike was talking about seeing Sonny play baseball, that he wasn’t there that day either. What memories is Mike remembering? Betsy tells Drew that she saw Harvey in her room, and he’s definitely suspicious of it. He tells her that the police are looking for him but she’s very concerned about Harvey finding Bobby aka Franco. Drew tries to get Betsy to tell him what she wants to tell Franco but she isn’t biting. She tells Drew that him and Franco got along really great but when Harvey came into the picture, Franco started acting up. Then she begins to tell him what happened that night on the stairs and the sound purposely cuts out but you can read her lips. Franco was trying to protect Drew and then the camera pans away, and then on Drew’s face which is emotionless. Drew runs into Kevin and starts to tell him that he knows why and how he fell down the stairs as a child, but then Liz and Jake run in to tell them about Franco and Harvey fighting in the garage. Kevin stays with Jake while Liz and Drew go downstairs to help Franco. Franco is legit beating the shit out of Harvey before he says that if Franco stops, he’ll turn himself into the police. Franco hesitates for a second and Harvey gets the upper hand, grabbing the gun. When Drew and Liz get downstairs, Franco and Harvey are gone.. and that’s the cliffhanger! See you next week!
