TV recaps, Entertainment, & Pop Culture
Another Friday, another week of General Hospital! A lot was going on in Port Charles, and there was drama all around!
Let’s start out with how the week starts… with our favorite ex mobster and hot neurosurgeon.
Ava tells Griffin she loves him, and he doesn’t say it back… which makes me so sad.
They have a long conversation about their relationship and it turns out really good. Griffin can’t say I Love You yet, but he’s hopeful that he can… and they stay together.
Chase finds out that Sonny is Sonny, and doesn’t realize that Dante is his son. There’s a lot of hustle and bustle at the police station…
Mike is beside himself and shouting all sorts of nonsense, especially when Dante shows up and he calls him Dominic, his old alias.
Julian is told that he won’t be apart of Brad & Lucas’ child’s life, which I mean, was pretty obvious.
Dante, Jason, and Carly are all trying to figure out what’s the best way to go about finding out who made these random calls to Carly’s phone. They find a a homeless man who might have an answer…
He tells them that it was a guy who kept making calls (I’m thinking Henrik) but then he says that the guy who calls, is looking for drugs from someone and that there was actually an explosion.
Afterwards, when Dante leaves, Jason and Carly have a special moment about Morgan and Carly fills him on what actually happened and how they thought Sonny was responsible.
Nelle keeps pushing everyone to accept the name Morgan as her baby’s name, and even Josslyn isn’t into it. I think it’s ridiculous coming from NELLE that she wants to name the baby Morgan, especially when everyone who KNEW Morgan is against it. It’s in poor taste and it’s clearly part of her evil plan.
I say it every recap, but I really just want someone to kill Nelle.
Nelle keeps spewing this idiotic nonsense and then invites Josslyn to her baby shower.
Peter aka Henrik finds Maxie asleep at her desk at Crimson and he orders dinner for both of them. They talk about Nathan, and how Maxie can’t be at her apartment, and I think this is going to be the start of a very weird friendship, despite the fact that Peter is Nathan’s brother.
Anna tells Felicia about Faison’s Huntington’s Disease and that Maxie has to have the baby tested, and it’s just so sad.
Felicia tells Maxie about the possibility of her baby having the gene, and she’s just as devastated as you would think.
Maxie then tells Peter about the Huntington’s disease and he is shocked, mostly because he just found out that he might have it as well.
Lulu tells Dante that she’s not going to leave the newspaper, despite her trying to fight for Maxie’s friendship. We haven’t seen them together and I think that’s probably best… give Maxie space because she definitely needs it.
It gets heated; you could tell Dante is pissed at Lulu for being a reporter and the risk she took by publishing this story.
It’s still the night before Franco and Liz’s wedding and I could care less about it. Betsy Frank sends Franco a card congratulating him on the wedding, and he still hasn’t told Liz about his memories about Drew coming back.
Drew talks to the guy Harvey and it rubs him the wrong way, as usual. That guy is just weird and I don’t like him. He knows something about Franco & Drew and isn’t saying it.
Liz then sees Harvey and tells him about the wedding, and asks him to bring Betsy to the wedding. Goddamit, Liz just doesn’t stop.
Franco then goes to see Kevin and kind of flips out, telling him to keep the secret of locking Drew in the chest and to tell him what to do.
On the flip side, Curtis (I literally forgot his name for a minute and had to google it) is undercover on the Charles Street project, on Drew’s order (?) and I can’t seem to pay attention to this storyline.
Later on, Harvey points out Curtis in the police station for being the guy who was trespassing on the Charles St construction site, and calls for him to be arrested.
After seeing the map of his construction plans, Jordan arrests Curtis in front of Harvey. Oh DAM, wasn’t expecting that.
When and how did Andre get out of jail? I’m kind of glad he’s back and he’s back where he belongs, with Anna. They’re planning on going to Brussels to find Anna’s “daughter” and tell her about Faison’s disease.
It’s now Scout’s 1st birthday (that went very fast) and it’s a family affair, Oscar and Monica included.
Oscar asks Drew if he could chaperone the dance that he’s going too tonight, instead of Carly and Michael because it’s embarrassing to dance with Joss in front of them. Sam agrees to accompany Drew as well.
The Davis women are sitting around at the end of the party, and a stuffed bear shows up for Scout. It’s from Julian and of course, Molly flips out.
I’m so sick of Molly’s attitude toward Julian. Her uncle is the #1 mob boss in PC and her dad is really no better, so can this high and mighty shit stop? Molly has become one of my least favorite characters because all she does is complain about Julian.
Sam is not as righteous in her hatred of her real father, but that’s also annoying seeing how she was married to Jason Morgan and all that. Just stop the Julian hate!
Sonny prompts Ava to drop the charges against Mike while Michael goes to see his grandpa in jail. They talk a lot about the past and it seems like Mike is there, but then he asks where Morgan is and it’s just so sad all over again.
Ava says she’ll drop the charges if she could spend some with Avery … that makes total sense. Eventually Mike is out of jail and will be home soon.
Rita shows up at the Corinthos manor to see what was happening with Mike, since Sonny called her and told her Mike wouldn’t be home for a while. Carly tells her that Mike is sick, even though Sonny didn’t want her to know just yet.
WOW… Rita is not here for Mike’s sickness and she doesn’t want to deal with this. Wow, that’s horrible and so sad.
Franco bumps into Drew in a stairwell (I think in the hospital) and kind of freaks out because he’s remembering pushing him down stairs. Drew has no clue what’s happening and tries to calm him down.
We see Cameron in the church and literally, this kid was born 100 years ago. Why is he not like 20 years old yet? He was born before Michael I think… Ok, never mind. He was born in 2004 (I just checked) but it feels like he’s been a kid forever.
He is very sweet to Elizabeth before the wedding and it made me tear up — it’s so nice to see a Webber child besides Jake.
Felix and Liz reminisce about Sabrina and it makes me miss her. She was such a good character and gone too soon!
Franco remembers that someone else was there when he pushed Drew down the stairs, and it was a man’s voice so I have a feeling it was Harvey.
He then goes to see Harvey and is hiding out in the trailer on the construction site. Doesn’t Franco know he has a wedding to get too?
In terms of Julian and Kim, he’s really trying to win her over. He offered the pub up for the kids’ alternative dance, but then sewage is backed up into the pub and he has to cancel.
However, the dance is saved by Anna because she asks Mac if they could postpone her party (IDK why she was having a party) and have the dance there.
Back at the church and the wedding, Epiphany tells Liz that Franco isn’t there yet, because he is still confronting Harvey who claims he doesn’t remember what happened that night, because he wasn’t there. Franco remembers differently.
Franco says that no one is leaving until Harvey tells him the truth, which eventually he does. Harvey reveals that he was there when Drew fell down the stairs.
He spills the truth; that Franco tried to kill Drew by pushing him down the stairs.
It’s the night of the dance, Carly is taking so many photos of Josslyn and Oscar much to their dismay. They head to the dance and Lulu is there to ask a few questions about why Oscar and Joss wanted to have this dance.
The reason for the dance, one of their gender fluid friends, is there as well as the bully who punched Oscar (well, I’m assuming it’s the bully because he looked angry AF)
In true Carrie style, the bully throws something red at Josslyn (I don’t think it was meant for her) and it splatters all over her dress, staining it — Oscar then takes down the bully. He is going to TOWN on him, laying punch after punch, but Drew breaks it up and talks some sense into Oscar.
At the same time, Nina asks Carly where she got Josslyn’s dress from, and Carly tells her that Nelle got it for her from a runway show when she was at Crimson. Nina says she never sent Nelle to a runway show and that they had the exact dress in Crimson’s closet — probably not anymore though.
Peter approaches Valentin about knowing if his father had Huntington’s disease and he tries to convince him to get the test to see if he does have it. They talk a bit about the will and the beneficiaries before Nina comes to interrupt them.
Nelle is looking at pictures of Morgan online, and is talking to the baby. She tells it that when she’s through with granny, she won’t even be able to raise a Chia pet. So I guess Nelle is getting ready to drive Carly insane. What a JOKE.
Carly walks in and calls Nelle crazy — they start to fight a bit, but obviously. Carly calls Nelle out on her taking the dress for Josslyn. She says that she didn’t take the dress for Joss, but for Michael to get close to him.
Michael goes over to the Quartermaine’s and asks Jason to be the baby’s guardian incase anything happens to Nelle and Michael. He accepts, because of course he does — he’s Jason Morgan.
They start reminiscing about the past, and when Michael was a baby and Sam walks in to overhear the conversation, and she has a smile on her face.
Liz is giving up on Franco showing up for the wedding and calls it off. She is convinced that Franco doesn’t want to be there; he chose not to be there according to her.
Scotty talks to her, and accidentally reveals that Franco is keeping a secret from Liz but dodges the bullet.
Yes, he chose not to be there because the dark secrets of his childhood were more important — the lies about his childhood were more important.
Harvey tells Franco that he had a big smile on his face after he pushed Drew down the stairs, and was pretty proud of himself. So maybe Franco is a psycho without the brain tumor… or did he have the brain tumor when he was little too?
Harvey says that he recommends not mentioning this to anyone, and he’ll keep the secret.
Franco says that the tumor was removed and that he’s been able to control his violent impulses, but Harvey suggests that maybe the tumor just enhanced what was already there inside of him and that Franco was born bad. That’s my thought!
Franco now thinks that everything Harvey said is a lie… but what reason does he have to lie?
Oscar takes Josslyn into the freezer of the Floating Rib to makeup, but suddenly there is an earthquake!!HOLY SHIT.
When was the last time we had a good natural disaster February sweeps??? I AM HERE FOR IT!!
Sam is with Jason at the Quartermaine’s, Drew is with Kim and the dance… and there is so much good that is going to come from this I can hardly wait!
