What a week on General Hospital!
We started off with where we ended last week, with Maxie blaming Lulu for Nathan's death. She went OFF on Lulu and I am very torn with if I agree with her or not. Maxie told her former best friend that she is not capable of apologizng for something she doesn't believe she did. Maxie referenced when she lied to Dante & Lulu about baby Georgie being theres, which resulted in Maxie losing paretnal rights.
Maxie said that she was so filled with regret and did everything she could to make it up to them, but Lulu isn't capable of that feeling because it's not the Spencer way. Maxie brought Dante into it and said even he blamed Lulu, and he didn't disagree.
Then we see Maxie at home, and Spinelli comes there to comfort her; he suggests that maybe she come spend time with them in Oregon, and she flips out. I totally get Maxie's frustration but there is no need to flip out on the people who are trying to comfort you. I don't like when characters do that, it just seems very unrealistic and self absorbed.
After all of this, we see Peter aka Henrik standing over Nathan's grave and saying goodbye to a brother he never knew. So he basically confirmed what the audience already knew... I can't wait for this to all come out.
There’s a lot of Drew & Sam things that I didn’t really pay attention to this week but one of them was Drew seeing Franco with a rabbit’s foot, and it sparked some memory in him.
I really cannot wait to find out all about Drew’s past life, I am very curious and I think it’s a storyline that General Hospital has done very well.
There was a bunch of stuff at the funeral reception but something that stuck out was Valentin & Peter talking alone, and Valentin asking Peter if he would consider staying in PC, and that it would look very suspicious for him to come to PC and leave so soon after.
Something else that was apparent during this week was that Alexis & Finn seem to be getting awfully close. They have bonded over AA and we end the week with Finn saying he wanted to be with her at the mayoral election results. I totally forgot that Alexis was running for Mayor of PC.
Then we move onto Oscar & Josslyn, whom we have not seen in a while. Oscar has a black eye and Drew & Kim are shocked to see this. They have some heart to heart about coparenting Oscar together, and I have a strong feeling once Drew gets his memory back, we’ll see them back together.
I kind of hope that doesn’t happen because I like Kim & Julian together. They have great chemistry!
There is so much drama surrounding Nelle & Michael; she’s been BFFing it up with Ava and keeps saying that she is going to make Carly pay. She then proceeded to prank call Carly from a payphone and I really don’t understand how that is supposed to be scary. Nelle is a psycho and I wish Faison would’ve killed her. I also hope we find out that the baby ISN’T Michael’s. He deserves better.
We come to Valentine’s Day and Kiki gets drunk at the Floating Rib after she finds out that Dillion is with another girl in LA on Valentine’s Day. Way harsh, Tai.
She comes onto Spinelli and he takes her home because he is a good guy. He proceeds to call the hospital and Amy answers, and sends Griffin to Kiki’s apartment. Ava gets wind of this when she also calls the hospital, and walks into KIki’s apartment and her daughter is taking off her shirt, while Griffin is holding her — so everything is taken the wrong way.
Ava is very insecure about Kiki and Griffin’s relationship, but I mean, she’s a hypocrite. She stole Kiki’s boyfriend more than once so why can’t her daughter do the same to her? I do like Ava & Griffin though so I hope that doesn’t happen. Ava was going to tell Dr. Monroe that she was falling in love with him and I thought that was sweet.
For Valentine’s Day, Sam gives Drew her new passport where her name is now officially & legally, Sam McCall Cain. Adorable #barf. Jason is spending the night with Danny and it warms my heart to see them together.
We also see Jason run into Jake, Liz, and Franco at Kelly’s; Jake, the little annoying kid he is, asks Jason if he is going to come to the wedding (Franco & Liz’s) and he says no. Then Jason & Liz have another conversation about how Jason will never like Franco.
I don’t understand Liz or anyone else and they’re need to forgive Franco. I don’t care if he had a brain tumor, he is an insane person and I will never like him. Him & Liz are probably my least favorite GH couple in the history of the world.
Expect for Drew & Sam, of course.
On the other side of town, Sonny brings Mike home and we spend the week with Mike forgetting things and wandering around Port Charles with no supervision. He clearly has early onset Alzheimer’s.
I HATE that they recast Mike; I hate this Mike so much. His voice annoys me and he gives me a pit.
After Mike goes to Kelly’s and starts serving customers and the police are called, Sonny takes him to GH and Griffin runs some tests on him to make sure everything is ok (everything is NOT ok).
We end the week with the reading of Faison’s will. Anna, Drew, Sam, and Jason are beneficiaries. Faison left Drew the USB of his memories in a safe; Faison also left the details of who Henrik is to Jason, which is also in the same safe.
The only way for them to get the information they so highly desire? One of them has to die.
WTF. Faison is one sick pup!
Diane says that this is legal and we’re gearing up for February sweeps… let’s see how it plays out.
