TV recaps, Entertainment, & Pop Culture
It’s winter games time again and we’re 3/4 a way through — the last episode is Thursday, so let’s get into this!
I’m a little excited for this episode because Rachel, Arie, and Jojo come back to judge the kissing abilities of their exes and their new flames. That is weird AF but seemingly normal in Bachelor world.
We start out with Ben & Yuki and it’s the most adorable friendship ever. They’re playing in the snow, being adorable and I kind of love Ben Higgins.
The first competition is speed skiing and the ladies are up first. Clare starts off good, Ashley I doesn’t even try because she’s an asshole, and then she’s disqualified. Lesley beats Clare’s time and wins the date card!
Then the men are up, everyone does pretty good but then my bb Dean is showing off, getting some air on his skis and then comes in backwards. It was pretty hot, not gonna lie.
So Dean & Lesley won the date cards and they only need one, so they give the card to Ashley I & Kevin.
Also, there is only one Ashley on this show right now so why do we keep calling her Ashley I?
They’re at dinner and they’re talking about her virginity. This is awkward and makes me uncomfortable. Why is she a virgin?
I missed a few minutes but now we’re talking about Lesley & Dean’s relationship; people in the house are skeptical of the relationship because of Dean’s track record.
Then Lesley brings it up to Dean’s face and she’s still skeptical; Dean says that he was conflicted and it wasn’t that he wanted to have his cake and eat it too.
I was always very hesitant to call Dean a player in Paradise. I think he genuinely liked Kristina and then D.Lo came along and it threw him for a loop. I don’t think he was being a fuckboy, I think he had feelings for both and it was confusing for him.
He had just gone on the Bachelorette, got his heart broken and had the entire world saying how hot he was. It probably went to his head a bit.
I think him and Lesley are the real deal and I’m always #TeamDean.
One of the random Australian girls, Tiffany, is going home by choice, which I always think is a great way to leave with your head held high.
Now, Ben is questioning being there himself. So is Courtney, Yuki, and everyone else who doesn’t have a couple.
Ben tells Ashley I that a date in the house feels like a chore, and that he is still reeling from his breakup with Lauren. He wants a relationship, so he’s just confused.
He sits down with his buddy Chris Harrison and pours his heart out. It doesn’t feel right for him to be there; he starts to cry, and explains how the comments and questions get to him. He doesn’t like being questioned if he really loved Lauren.
WOW I really like Ben. This is just so sweet. I want only good things for Ben Higgins.
He makes the decision to go home and it’s a heart breaking goodbye. Him & Yuki have such sweet goodbye and it’s so sad, but her crying is very annoying.
I want to go back and watch Ben’s season to just to stare at his pretty face!
Michael is next to go home on his own accord so now Yuki is the only one left without a couple. Harrison sits her down and tries to speak Japanese to her to tell her she needs to leave. I can’t take this.
Ashley I and Yuki crying together was the most uncomfortable thing I have ever witnessed.
Now we’re at the Rose Ceremony, and Chris Harrison tells them it’s all about the couples; they’re going to be judged by a kissing competition and there are special judges that will eliminate them.
Obviously Dean & Lesley are going to be fine because their kissing is ON POINT. So on point, it makes me uncomfortable.
All the other couples go off in the corners are start making out and this is weird AF.
Clare & Christian have some weird conversation and I can’t tell if they broke up or not. Ok so I guess they did; Clare says she doesn’t want to be with the wrong person, she would rather be alone.
This is so awkward — why are they making us watch a kissing competition? It is SO WEIRD.
Harrison starts announcing the judges and Jojo is first up; Luke is visibly uncomfortable by this and I feel bad for him.
Dean and Josiah just shake their heads at Rachel; Dean is more visibly uncomfortable than anyone really.
Bibiana looks SHOCKED when Arie is announced and she is not having it. It’s hilarious!
First up is Dean & Lesley and Rachel is all into this. OMG THEY DID A DANCE ROUTINE. THAT IS HILARIOUS I AM DYING OMFG.
They also had a really hot, passionate kiss. Rachel was NOT into it because she’s a BUZZKILL but it was great and I was obsessed with it.
Ashley I and Kevin are up next and their kiss was extremely passionate and sexy, and the judges LOVED IT.
Lilly and Courtney are very messy and very weird kissing; it’s awkward and looked like teenagers.
Bibi & Jordan are awkwardly, slowing kissing and it’s really weird as well. This whole thing is weird!
Now we have Ally ready to throw up in the corner and I need this episode to be over.
Rachel is so sassy asking Bibi “Did you kiss Arie like that?” and I love when she’s good and funny.
The rest of the couples kiss, even after Ally threw up and recovered. I miss their kisses but I’m sure they were fine.
I don’t really hear anything while the judges deliberate, but Rachel of course puts Dean & Lesley last because she, for some reason, hates him.
I HATE Rachel; she became so bitchy in the last 2 episodes of the Bachelorette and it just ruined everything for me.
Now we find out who goes home…
Kevin & Ashley get the best kiss of the night; Luke and Stassi follow suit…
I legit thought Dean & Lesley were going to be sent home because Rachel is such a BITCH but they get roses!! LETS GOOOOO
They’re both so fun and I love them so much!
Josiah & Ally are being sent home and honestly, that’s not a surprise.
I’ll see you on Thursday for the finale!
