TV recaps, Entertainment, & Pop Culture
Long time no talk! I feel like we haven’t talked about winter games in SO LONG.
We’re at the “AFTER THE GAMES” and our guy Chris Harrison is cashing in his paycheck tonight.
We start off with a review of the season and then go around to everyone who didn’t go home with a boyfriend/girlfriend.
Jordan and Bibi are not together and agree that they’ll both find someone amazing who lives in the same time zone (or at least the same continent)
There is a lot of Yuki praise from Chris Harrison, Ben Higgins, and the audience. Once again, Chris is speaking Japanese and I just want to know where this talent came from.
Courtney and Lilly are up next, talking about their relationship; they seem like they’re still together. They reveal that after Winter Games they drove across the country, from Virgina, to New York, all the way to LA.
That is adorable and I’m so happy for them! That is how you do a Bachelor relationship!!
OMG they moved to LA? That’s amazing!!! They’re so cute! Lets go Courtney and Lilly!
Dean and Lesley are up now… let’s see what him kneeling down on one knee REALLY means.
I honestly might cry, they’re so cute. After they run through the reel of their blossoming relationship, they start gushing about their love for each other.
He makes her stand up, professes his love for her, and then gets down on one knee but hands her the key to his house!
I read the spoiler at the start of the episode because I couldn’t go through this acting like Dean was going to get engaged.
Everyone is literally stunned and it’s so funny. I love Dean.
Chris Harrison keeps teasing that there is a random couple that got together after the taping, and I need to know who it is.
Luke and Stassi are here and they’re NOT together. Stassi goes up on stage alone first and go through the sizzle reel of their relationship.
HOLY SHIT. She hasn’t spoken to Luke since they left the games— he doesn’t even have her phone number!
WHAT A DOUCHE.
When Luke comes out on stage, she says “Stassi, nice to meet you” and it set my world on fire!
Luke gives her some bullshit that life outside the Bachelor world is difficult and that it doesn’t work. She doesn’t understand, and it’s very clear that he was on the show to be in a relationship for a few weeks and to just be on TV.
He continues to say that they broke up, that they spoke about going their separate ways after the Games, and she has no idea what he’s talking about.
He played her and he should be exiled.
Stassi asks to go onto another couple, Chris Harrison cuts to commercial break but they’re still talking. Stassi calls him out on everything and all he says is “yeah, yeah, yeah’ and it’s disgusting. Fuck you, Luke.
Ashley and Kevin, you’re turn in the hot seat.
They’re still together, traveling together and being together. I hope this is the real deal, and they’re not using each other for fame.
Hearing Ashley talk about her virginity is very eye opening and I honestly really like her in this moment. What a turn of events! Who knew I would have something nice to say about her.
She won’t come out and say that they had sex, which is fine. We don’t need to hear more…
Oh hot dam… Harrison brings Clare up on stage. Is this the surprise? Is she the one who has the surprise love?
We run through her sizzle reel, and see her love story/stories unfold…
Christian going on and on about the jacuzzi date will never not make me crack up with laughter.
Clare says that she’s in love now, and that after she got home and had a text from a guy.
Chris Harrison says that he is here tonight, and if ‘you’re the mystery man, please stand up.”
Ben Higgins throws us off and almost gets up off his seat, but Benoit comes through!
They reunite, kiss, and this is actually adorable and I’m here for it. I have tears in my eyes because we know how this ends!
Benoit says they wanted to keep it secret because it’s between them, and Clare says she wanted someone who wouldn’t give up on her and Benoit is that for her.
This is so inspiring and I’m hysterical crying now. God bless the goddam Bachelor!
Benoit takes Clare, stands her up, starts professing his love for her — everyone in the audience is freaking out.
He gets down on one knee and proposes! OMG YES!
Everyone is bugging out and that is my favorite part about this entire thing.
Clare & Benoit are getting married!
I am crying. It’s time for me to go to sleep!
